Enrol

Beaconsfield Kindergarten is not zoned and we welcome enrolments from families from all local suburbs across the Cardinia and Casey areas; however, priority is given to residents of Cardinia Shire. For more information regarding the enrolment policy, please refer to the Cardinia Shire Council's Kindergarten Registration Policy.

How to enrol in 4-year-old and 3-year-old kinder

All 4-year-old and 3-year-old kinder enrolments are processed through Cardinia Shire Council.

Initial options for enrolment include selecting which centre location you prefer, Woods St or O'Neil Rd.

From May in the year prior to attendance, families will be contacted by Council and given the opportunity to put in their preferences for particular days, timetables, and programs, including Bush Kinder. Registrations must be submitted by 30 June of the year prior to attendance in order to be included in first round offers.

The Department of Education's Priority of Access criteria are applied when allocating kindergarten places. If you have any questions about the online system, please contact the Council at kindergartens@cardinia.vic.gov.au or on 1300 787 624.

Enrolment timelines

Registrations are taken from birth until 30 June the year prior to attending kindergarten.

First round offers for 4-year-old kindergarten start in early August the year before your child's year of attendance. First round offers for 3-year-old kindergarten start early September the year before your child's year of attendance.

As positions are accepted and declined, new offers will be made via second and subsequent rounds. This process will continue until all children have been given the opportunity to attend a community kindergarten program. There is no guarantee that you will be offered your first preference but every effort is made to accommodate families and requests.

From 2023, offers for non-Cardinia Shire Council residents will be processed (subject to availability) on an ongoing basis from mid-November.

Fee Information

Beaconsfield Kindergarten has opted in to the state government's "free kinder" initiative, therefore all of our kinder programs are fee-free.

Uniforms

We have partnered with eduTHREADS, a local uniform supply company, to offer a range of Beaconsfield Kindergarten uniform items for you to purchase for your children. These items come in a range of fun and bright colours and include jackets, windcheaters, t-shirts and hats. Purchases can be made at any time during the year, and orders will be delivered straight to your home for a small fee. Alternatively, once or twice each term orders are delivered for free to the kindergarten. To order uniform items, please go to the eduTHREADS website.
